Key Dates to Remember for Individuals/Families Under 65


HealthCare.Gov (IN, MI, FL)
     • November 1 to January 15, 2026: Open Enrollment Period
            o Enroll by December 15, 2025, for coverage starting January 1, 2026
            o Enroll by January 15, 2026, for coverage starting February 1, 2026

HealthCare.gov is a health insurance exchange website operated by the U.S. federal government under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as "Obamacare."
It serves residents of states, including Indiana, Michigan and Florida, that have not created their own exchanges and facilitates the sale of private health insurance plans
while offering subsidies to eligible individuals. The site provides information on how to apply for Marketplace insurance and the options available to users.

Get Covered Illinois
    • November 1 to January 15, 2026: Open Enrollment Period
            o Enroll by December 31, 2025, for coverage starting January 1, 2026
            o Enroll by January 15, 2026, for coverage starting February 1, 2026

GetCoveredIllinois.gov serves as the only platform where individuals and families can shop for health insurance plans that fit their needs in Illinois. It is managed by the Illinois state government and aims to increase access to affordable health coverage for residents who do not receive insurance through their employer or public programs. Get Covered Illinois has replaced Healthcare.gov. Former Illinois members have been transitioned to GetCoveredIllinois.gov as of November 1, 2025.

Connect for Health Colorado
    • November 1 to January 15, 2026: Open Enrollment Period
            o Enroll by December 15, 2025, for coverage starting January 1, 2026
            o Enroll by January 15, 2026, for coverage starting February 1, 2026

ConnectforHealthCo.com is the state-based Health Insurance Marketplace for Coloradans and works to expand access, affordability and choice for individuals purchasing health insurance throughout the state.


Key Dates to Remember for Medicare Recipients (over and under 65)


  • January 1 to March 31, 2026: Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period

If you’re in a Medicare Advantage Plan (with or without drug coverage), during this period you can:
        o Switch to another Medicare Advantage Plan (with or without drug coverage).
       o Drop your Medicare Advantage Plan and return to Original Medicare. You’ll also be             able to join a separate Medicare drug plan.

During this period, you can’t:
        o Switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan.
        o Join a separate Medicare drug plan if you have Original Medicare.
        o Switch from one Medicare drug plan to another if you have Original Medicare
